ABSTRACT

This paper examines the transformative impact of telehealth innovation on healthcare delivery and accessibility. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the healthcare landscape has been reshaped, expanding the options available to both providers and patients. Telehealth enables virtual and telephone consultations, enhancing accessibility for individuals unable to attend in-person appointments. This shift has improved patient adherence to scheduled care, reducing the rates of appointment rescheduling or missed visits. Through a review of recent developments and empirical findings, this study highlights the dual benefits of telehealth for patients and healthcare providers, alongside the ongoing challenges associated with its integration into everyday practice. The insights presented here aim to offer healthcare professionals and stakeholders a comprehensive overview of the advantages and obstacles linked to telehealth, facilitating informed decision-making on future applications of this innovative approach.
