ABSTRACT

Understanding feline behavior and vocalizations is essential for fostering stronger bonds between cats and their human companions. This study investigates the feasibility and potential of an innovative technology that utilizes smart glasses or camera-enabled devices connected to a specialized mobile application. The system aims to interpret feline behaviors and vocalizations in real-time by leveraging pre-programmed libraries customized for the cat's breed, age, and individual traits. Furthermore, the app can be personalized through user-driven training, enabling a more tailored and precise understanding of each cat's unique communication patterns. This paper conducts a systematic literature survey of existing technologies in animal behavior recognition, with a particular focus on their applicability to felines. It examines advancements in computer vision, artificial intelligence, and wearable devices, analyzing their potential integration into pet care technologies. Additionally, the study outlines the initial configurations and prototypes of the proposed system, highlighting training methods, optimization strategies, and scalability considerations. Key challenges such as the variability in feline behavior, technical limitations, and user adoption are critically discussed. The research findings indicate that this technology is a plausible solution for enhancing human-cat communication and provide a roadmap for future research and development to bring this concept closer to practical implementation.
