ABSTRACT

This paper examines how Information and Communication Technology (ICT), particularly artificial intelligence (AI), is reshaping various aspects of human activity, including work, education, news dissemination, and warfare. Drawing on secondary sources, it synthesizes insights from recent studies, such as AI-guided drone usage (Kirichenko, 2024), the impact of AI-driven misinformation and deepfakes on trust in media (Helmus, 2022), and surveys on students' perceptions of AI in education (Alzahrani, 2023; Katsantonis & Katsantonis, 2024; Lin et al., 2024). The analysis extends to workplace transformations due to AI integration (George et al., 2023), cultural developments like AI-generated art (Mineo, 2023), and the challenges faced by journalists managing automated content (Chin, 2023). By adopting a student perspective within this broad field, the paper identifies patterns of adaptation, including skill enhancement, institutional regulation, and the growing importance of AI literacy. It concludes that humans are not merely passive recipients of technological change but are actively responding in diverse ways. These findings underline the necessity of improving strategies to ensure technology serves as an inclusive tool for progress, mitigating risks of marginalization.
